Wrapping up the Preliminary Design!

This Saturday, we held a very productive Final Workshop and public comment for the preliminary design of the Basement Renovation at St. Anthony’s.

Barbara Nelson of TAP came to meet with board members, community members and staff for three hours as we walked through the design–the new entrance on Madison Avenue, the elevator, the bathrooms and all those pesky I-beams in the new downstairs auditorium. We also dreamt about future signage and a new staircase on Grand Street!

Mary Wilson from Channel 10 was nice enough to stop by, so you can get a peek at the Final Workshop with Barbara Nelson on the Channel 10 website. We were all feeling quite visionary during the workshop, excited about the future of GSCA, and it’s great that Mary was able to capture that excitement.

We’re kicking off our Summer Fundraising Campaign on Friday, July 1st. $9500 of our $27,000 goal is to fund the completion of this phase of the architecture project. Please support us at this crucial time so we can accomplish our mission to renovate and revitalize old St. Anthony’s into a hub for community, arts and culture!
