Join us for our 3rd Annual BoardedUP Exhibition & Silent Auction

Saturday, September 25th, 2010 | 5:30 PM – 9 PM (closing bid at 9 PM)

Our BoardedUP Series is a 6-month outdoor art exhibition that features the art work of local area artists. They paint on a plywood board that is hung in the Madison Avenue facing windows. Our BoardedUP Series rotates once a month from March through August. The BoardedUP Exhibition & Silent Auction features all of the boards displayed during the 6-month series and also smaller 9×9 boards that were displayed during our 1st Friday of Albany BoardedUP Exhibition.

Live music (DJ Truemaster), dancing, and refreshments will be provided. GSCA swag will be available for sale, along with a 2010 gallery book of the 2010 BoardedUP series!!!

Mission Statement

The mission of Grand Street Community Arts is to create unity and connection, especially through the arts, in an inner-city neighborhood with racial and economic diversity.

The arts center creates a supportive community and focuses on its youth. The center presents a broad spectrum of arts programs and performances that encourage art as a natural tool of expression available to everyone. By restoring historic St. Anthony’s church as its home, the arts center creates and nurtures a link with the unique living history of the local community.
