Summer 2011 Reports
Pictures from week two of Youth FX Summer 2011. We started working on short doc…umentary films this week. The projects that are in production are: the extended version of Seeds Of Hope, a film about local artists, a film about Tyler Rhodes a local teenager who was stabbed in April at Hoffman Park, and one of our youth are working on a short film about his nieces rare kidney disease. Lots of ideas and great video being shot.
The first full week of Youth FX Summer 2011 program. We learned about the camer…a and sound, went around the neighborhood on a scavenger hunt for shots. On Monday we visited EMPAC (Experimental Media Performing Arts Center) in Troy and learned about their cutting edge facilities. We did a 48 Hour film projects, three groups come up with an idea for a 3 minute movie and then shoot, edit and screen their films over the course of two days. Amanda our GSCA summer VISTA intern, lead us through some theatre games and did a movie makeup workshop as well. We ended the week with a day at Grafton Lakes.
