Ships Ahoy! The Launch Party is the closing celebration for our Summer Fundraising Campaign. The party will take place on the Dutch Apple Cruise on Sunday, July 24th.
All donors at the “Launcher” level ($250) are invited to join us for this 3 hour tour on the Hudson River, with music, delicious food and wonderful friends. Boarding will take place from 3:30-4pm and we will cruise the Hudson from 4-7pm.

Come join us for the first of this summer’s Grand Walks. We will be walking to attend the Underground Railroad History Project’s annual July 4th Oration in the garden of the Stephen and Harriet Myers House. Titled “Searching for Race and Identity in Archeology.” The annual oration is inspired by the Frederick Douglas speech “What to the slave is the 4th of July?”
The Tour starts on the steps of Grand Street Community Arts at 9:45am and leaves at 10am. This historic walking tour, led by Maeve McEneny of Discover Albany will end at the Myers Residence before 11am.The oration at the Myers residence will finish around 1pm.
Travel back to the South End and Mansion Neighborhood is available via the CDTA Route 100, or via the 22 (short walk down to Broadway.)

This is the first of our #GrandWalks, a series of 5 walks all starting at the front of Grand St Community Arts, taking place throughtout the summer until August 18.
The next walk will take place on Saturday, July 9th: a Sound Walk at Tivoli Lake Preserve.
