Invite Others
Do you know someone who is interested in the arts? Community development? Invite them to Grand Beginnings. Join us for a light breakfast and a tour and presentation of Grand Street Community Arts. It happens every 1st Thursday of the month from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM. The tour begins at our Arts Center on 68 Grand Street.
Help Us Renovate
Our ongoing work on our Arts Center, former St. Anthony’s, benefits from the work of many skilled and unskilled volunteers. We hold several work parties a year and they are a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet the local community.
Volunteer
At Grand Street Community Arts, we have a variety of ways you can get involved. Volunteer with one of our Youth Programs (Youth Arts, Youth Film Experience, Youth Organics), paint a board for our BoardedUP Exhibition, or help out at one of our community events. You can also help us build capacity by being on the Board of Directors or in one of our committees. Contact us and we’ll work with you!
Community Development
We are spearheading an effort to transform South End vacant lots into usable community space. We are looking for community members and volunteers to help us select a vacant lot and develop a project proposal to be submitted to the property owner. Grand Street Community Arts is looking for community improvement projects that incorporate art and gardening.
