WCAA depends upon the support of true believers working to bring this new community radio station on to the airwaves of the Capital Region. Every week, we will feature a portrait from one of the members of our Founders Club.
“Why I am a Founder? I grew up is this neighborhood and I’m glad to take part in revitalizing the community. The Albany area has never had a radio station to call its own. Community Radio WCAA gives people in the community a voice to speak out about what’s on the Capital Region’s mind! I am a strong believer in this project: it is been long overdue. Please join me and be a part of this worthy cause. WCAA stands for ‘Community, Arts, and Activism.’ You will be able to know what is going on in your Community, listen to your choice of music and voice your own opinion on subject matters.”
Kirk J. Daniels, GSCA Board Member and Chairman of the WCAA Working Group
WCAA 107.3 FM radio station provides activists, youth, local artists and the community a place to perform, entertain and inform the public, as well as encourage involvement in the arts and the betterment of the community.
“We have a voice in Albany!”
As early adopters, there are so far 6 great Founders of WCAA. This also means there are still 94 spots left to become a Founder and help get WCAA on air as well. Meet our Founders and find out why they believe in WCAA!!
